How to get to Lake Grundsjön

Directions to Lake Grundsjön

Lake Grundsjön is a popular fishing lake perched atop Ryssberget, right on the border between Blekinge and Skåne (within both Sölvesborg and Bromölla municipalities). The lake lies secluded up on the heights, about 10 km from Bromölla and 15 km from Sölvesborg. Below you’ll find detailed information on how to get here.

Driving Directions by Car

From Sölvesborg

From Sölvesborg city center, drive north towards Gammalstorp on Gammalstorpsvägen. Continue on Gammalstorpsvägen until you see the sign for Grundsjön on Hinnedalsvägen. Continue straight on the gravel road until signage for Grundsjön appears. Follow the sign to the lake’s parking area.

From Bromölla

From Bromölla town center, drive north towards Näsum on road 116. Just outside the town you’ll climb the slopes of Ryssberget—continue north and watch for the “Leingaryd” sign on the left shortly after Barnakälla. Turn right there (at the “Leingaryd” sign) and continue straight on the gravel road until you see signage for Grundsjön. Follow that sign to the lake’s parking area.

From Kristianstad

Take the E22 eastbound towards Sölvesborg. Exit at exit 44 (Bromölla/Näsum). At the exit, follow the sign for Olofström/Näsum and head north on road 116. Approximately 150–200 m after the Barnakälla sign, turn right at the “Leingaryd” sign. Continue straight on the gravel road until you see a sign pointing to Grundsjön. Turn there and drive on until you reach the lake’s parking area.

Parking at the Lake

At Lake Grundsjön there is a small parking area that accommodates around 10 cars. It is located by the water and is free to use. You’ll also find an outhouse and a trash bin. From the parking area it’s just a short walk to both the fishing piers and the hiking trails.
